Motherish

Overview

An original typeface closely based on the dialogue text in those quirky JRPGs about kids in striped shirts. Each character has been meticulously designed to capture the charm of the pixelated lettering that inspired this font family.

Motherish is appropriate for moderate quantities of body copy as well as display sizes. The complete family contains 9 weights, ranging from Thin (100) to Black (900). Each weight comprises the full Latin alphabet, Proportional and Tabular Lining Figures, Diacritical and Combining Marks, and a small handful of Greek letters

The regular and medium weights are available for free for personal use.

You can purchase each weights individually for commercial desktop use, or you can buy the complete family (all 9 weights) bundled together at half the price per weight with an embed license.
